Welcome to the Guidance and Counseling Department at Mount St Michael Academy. We offer students a comprehensive guidance program designed to meet the educational, academic, career, personal and social needs of each student. Our professional counselors assist students with adjustment to high school, learning skills, course selection, college planning, scholarships, financial aid and personal issues. Every student is assigned a counselor who remains with that student throughout each year of high school. In this way the counselor is in the ideal position to get to know the student as an individual, closely follow his progress and work with him to reach desired college and career goals. Our program also includes a dedicated College Advisor who works exclusively with seniors and their parents and counsels them on important college decisions.

Guided by the National Standards for School Counseling of the American School Counselor Association, our counselors continually work to develop proactive programs and services that foster student success and are integral to the total educational program at Mount.
